I am a native of North Carolina. I have inherited a love for the teaching profession and am very pleased when my students excel. My background is in language and literature. My students have thanked me for teaching them well. I have many years of teaching experience in face-to-face teaching English on the secondary as well as college/university levels. I also have had six years teaching English online on the university level. I enjoy online teaching because students are able to receive the necessary individualized instruction

I have received numerous awards for excellence in teaching from St. Augustine's College in Raleigh, North Carolina and North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina from Administrators, Colleagues, and Students. I would like to continue this legacy by helping students to realize their academic potentials and appreciation for language and literature. Nothing is more rewarding than to see students' achieving and improving their communication skills. Teaching is not just a profession, but also a continuing education for students and teachers.

I am qualified to teach English because of my academic preparation and background. However, actually seeing how much students have learned as a result of my teaching indicates my being able to successfully share my knowledge and experience with my students. Through the practice of pre-writing, writing, and revising, students learn how to proofread and edit their writing. Through the study of literature and composition students enhance their vocabularies and communication skills.
