Surgery PA with extensive anatomy and physiology knowledge

Hello! I am a Physician Assistant currently practicing in General Surgery who has a passion for helping others understand difficult material. I personally benefitted from tutoring as a young child, and know from this experience that the most important part of being a good tutor is presenting material in a fun, relatable, easy to understand, and memorable way.

Throughout my training and education I have built an extensive knowledge base in anatomy and physiology that I use in real life applications as I am involved in patient care and surgery on a daily basis. My credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Biology from NC State, and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Practice from Campbell University. I have completed multiple high level anatomy and physiology courses, including a semester long cadaver lab. I have also excelled in multiple high level science (both medicinal and non medicinal) and math courses at both the collegiate and graduate level. In addition to this I have taken and exceled at multiple standardized tests including the SAT, GRE, and GMAT.

I have a passion for helping others learn and spent a lot of time helping peers study during PA school. I have also been a preceptor and mentor to many pre med/pre pa/pre nursing students. In addition, I take pride in "tutoring" my own patients on a daily basis so that they can better understand their own bodies and diagnoses. I would like to expand my passion for teaching by tutoring so that I can share my knowledge with others and show everyone why they are capable of exceling in the classroom!
