Hello! I’m Mr. Tim, an experienced electronics engineer, technician, and educator with 55 years in the field, specializing in various topics from basic electronics to advanced troubleshooting. My career includes time as a U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sergeant, an internationally certified electronics technician, and a U.S. Civil Servant. My certifications in consumer electronics and radar are from the International Society of Certified Electronics Technicians, and I am also a Life Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Additionally, I volunteer with IEEE’s MOVE disaster relief program, where I help provide critical communications and power solutions in emergencies, as well as educational outreach in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) for communities nationwide.

In my tutoring, I take an interactive, question-based approach, encouraging students to explore each concept thoroughly. I’ve had the privilege of training diverse groups, from young learners to international engineers, and even mentoring Iraqi technicians in air traffic control and landing systems (ATCALS). I enjoy adapting lessons to fit individual needs, whether you’re a beginner looking to learn the basics or an advanced student wanting to master troubleshooting techniques. My goal is to help each student feel confident and capable, guiding you through subjects like avionics, consumer electronics, and air traffic control with practical, real-world insights.
