Hi! My name is Tracy, and I am a dedicated elementary educator with 25 years of classroom experience. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, along with a double minor in teaching academically gifted children and teaching children with disabilities. Education has always been a meaningful part of my life—my mother was a preschool teacher, and growing up in a home filled with a passion for learning inspired me to pursue a career in education.
I strive to bring that same passion into both my classroom and my tutoring sessions. I believe that learning should be engaging, meaningful, and enjoyable, so I incorporate a variety of instructional strategies, including music, games, hands-on activities, and movement. I strongly believe that all children can learn, and nothing is more rewarding than seeing a child’s confidence grow as they experience success.
Throughout my career, I have worked with students of all ability levels. In addition to classroom teaching, I have tutoring experience both through a tutoring company and independently. I have provided small-group and one-on-one support for students in grades K–2, focusing on phonics, spelling, reading comprehension, and vocabulary development. I currently work in a Title I school, which has provided me with additional training and experience in helping students close learning gaps and achieve academic growth.
I am committed to helping your child be as successful as possible and value collaboration with both students and families. I believe that student success is strongest when there is a supportive team in place, and I would be honored to be a part of your child’s learning team.
