Hi! I am Zhanè (Jaw-Nay). I graduated in 2019 as valedictorian of my winter class with a 4.0 GPA, with a major in biology and a double minor in psychology and biochemistry while excelling as a student-athlete on a pre-medical track. Throughout my collegiate career, I tutored fellow students, particularly athletes, and supported high school students through a youth program. After graduation, I took a gap year to work for the federal government, where I developed case management skills comparable to preparing lab reports and medical documentation.
Given my background, I am well-versed in a wide array of sciences. I apply my knowledge of these areas daily as a current 3rd-year medical student (M.D) in clinical rotations, where I help coordinate patient care from pharmaceutical planning to diagnosing with relevant anatomical and physiological knowledge.
My educational journey has also equipped me with effective learning strategies. I am proficient in teaching methods such as teach-back and narrative-style consolidation, which help integrate material into long-term memory. However, I am very dynamic and flexible when it comes to teaching other methods as well. I honed this ability as a summer TA through my medical doctoral program for pre-medical students in 2022 and 2023.
