I have experience tutoring international students and graduate students. When it comes to high school students, my teaching skill set makes me a good choice for AP/IB students who are at least in their sophomore year. My high school students have received top marks in AP Government, US History, European History, English Language, and English Literature.

I have always received strong teaching evaluations. After one of my teaching reviews, a senior professor said he had never seen a teacher receive as much universal praise from students and fellow professors. My former students inducted me as an honorary faculty member of a campus leadership group in recognition of my exceptional teaching and mentoring.

I am flexible, humorous, and approachable. I don't care how behind you are, how much you are struggling, or how unprepared you might feel. If you are willing to work with me, I WILL be able to help you. I am extremely patient with students who are trying, but still struggling with the material. I also know how to push elite students--my former students have been admitted to the country's best law schools and have won some of the most prestigious postgraduate awards in the world.

Some of the most common things I help students with are literature reviews, reading strategies, research skills, paper organization, and textual analysis.

Great help!

My son had hard time to link all the pieces together. Alexandra quickly knew where my son’s weak points and create a chart with all the necessary information. My son felt a lot better after the class! Really nice! Thanks!

My experience with Alexandra

Alexandra has been tutoring my daughter with her college-level American history course. Since starting to work with Alexandra, I have noted a great impact on my daughter's academic growth and I expect greater things to come yet! So far, anytime I let my daughter know that I have scheduled a new lesson with Alexandra, her reaction invariably (and somewhat surprisingly to me) is a resounding and enthusiastic: Yaaayyyyyy!!!

Great Session!!!

Alexandra was super helpful! My niece received a poor grade in a history writing assignment. We looked through all the tutors on Wyzant, and soon Alexandra with the strongest qualifications. And to our pleasure, she did deliver results! She quickly identified what my niece needed and lacking in the writing, and she gave detailed guidance accordingly. I highly recommend Alexandra!!!

the BEST tutor! I got a 5 on the AP GOV exam!

Alexandra has been so helpful, flexible, and knowledgeable. I came to her totally clueless, but she has helped me with everything from AP US Government to AP US History. Through her tutoring sessions, I was able to achieve a 5 on the AP exam. She has probably been one of the best tutors I have, I would totally recommend working with her!

Experienced tutor that delivers excellent results

Alexandra has tutored my son for AP US Gov. for 15 lessons. My son's grade went straight up and eventually got a 5 in AP US Gov test. Alexandra is exceptionally knowledgeable on the subject. She prepared the lessons before it started, During the lesson she demonstrated good sample writings and also demands good writing and understanding from my son. Then she left homework assignment for my son to work on. The homework was handed in before the next lesson in which she would provide critique on. Alexandra is consistent and countable. We are grateful for her help and would highly recommend her tutoring service.
