I hold a Master's in Reading Education and am a current Kindergarten teacher. I specialize in intensive reading intervention for students working towards stronger foundational reading skills. Patience, consistency, and positive encouragement is central to my methodology and I try to help my students celebrate each small victory.

My lessons will begin with a basic evaluation to target the most important skills your student needs to be able to read with more ease and fluency. I love helping students "crack the code" of the English language so they can begin to read their favorite stories and books independently! Finding joy in reading is what I hope each student can achieve through my lessons.

I have more than 5 years experience teaching students to read starting from their first sounds up to breaking down multi-syllabic words. I have worked with students of various ages in elementary school.

I have a deep understanding of the research based methods on how students learn to read. I can help identify the phonics patterns your student has and has not mastered in order to target my instruction to meet their needs.
