Let's Talk Design And How I Teach It
I'm Teresa Rodil, an instructor and designer with 10 years of experience at SB California, where I've crafted visuals for medical and commercial products, equipment that demand precision and clarity. I have trained graphic designers signing in as interns over the course of 10 years.
Prior to joining the corporate world, I taught art to elementary children from Kinder to Third Grade for 3 years, Guam and Hawaii. 2 Years at Ateneo High School. and 2 years, Philosophy at the University (Ateneo and Immaculate Conception University), Philippines. While running a marketing company during the morning with a staff, I take time to teach art at my studio ages 5 to 50 years old.
Over the years, I've learned that design isn't just about making things look good it's about teaching others how to think visually, solve problems creatively, and communicate ideas with impact.
For me, design is a language. I thrive on guiding students and teams to translate complex concepts into clean, compelling visuals that speak louder than words. Whether it's walking through typography fundamentals, breaking down layout principles, or showing how visual hierarchy drives attention, I bring both strategy and creativity to the classroom.
