Hello, my name is Andrew. I have been tutoring private students online for over five years and have been very proud to see my students develop and succeed in their academic lives. I consider myself to be their friend and coach, and really enjoy building that personal relationship with my students.
My philosophy of teaching centers around identifying personal interests and passions of my students, leading to an open dialog / conversational class. I'm also happy to teach how to prepare for specific examinations such as TOEFL, IELTS, PET and SAT II. I have been the head teacher for many experimental online course programs, and in the last year, I have taught nearly 1,000 Chinese high school students in large classrooms over the course of two semesters. Most of my time right now is being spent with students 1-on-1.
With over five years of experience doing nothing but online teaching, I have a broad pool of knowledge, can act and adapt on demand, and am an expert with web conferencing software. I earned my college degree studying the psychology of learning and later successfully completed my Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) from Cambridge University.
