I personally love having the opportunity to work individually with students; this gives me the opportunity to really get to know you and your strengths, as well as what we need to focus on most. My overall job is to help you succeed, grow and excel in the subjects where you feel you need the most help. I understand that all students learn differently, and I am here to help you utilize the ways that you learn best. More than simply improving grades, I believe in working with you to grow, increase confidence, and develop pertinent critical-thinking skills and learning habits to take with you when in class, as well as learning on your own!
I have Bachelor degrees in both Psychology and Sociology. I graduated with a 3.9 GPA in Psychology, and a 3.7 GPA in Sociology. I have extensive knowledge in both psychological and sociological theory, especially Social Psychology. I have been and English tutor for Middle School and High School students, and I have done SAT to prep with High School students. I have worked with students specifically on writing college essays, and overall improving writing skills. I have also worked with Middle School students on reading comprehension through literature and other reading skills.
