I am a certified elementary educator with several years of experience teaching first grade in Gaston County. My passion for education is rooted in creating engaging and supportive learning environments where students feel encouraged to grow academically and personally. I hold a degree in education and have received specialized training in literacy, mathematics, and student engagement strategies. My experience extends beyond traditional classroom teaching, as I also serve as the school’s robotics coach, integrating STEM-based learning to enhance problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with young learners, helping them build a strong foundation in reading, writing, and math. I use a variety of instructional methods, including hands-on activities, interactive lessons, and differentiated instruction tailored to meet each student’s individual needs. I have experience providing one-on-one support for students struggling with literacy and numeracy skills, using targeted interventions to improve reading fluency, phonics, comprehension, and problem-solving abilities. My approach prioritizes building confidence and fostering a love for learning, ensuring that students feel successful and motivated in their academic journey.

In addition to my classroom teaching experience, I have worked closely with parents and guardians to support students both in and outside of school. I understand the importance of clear communication and collaboration in a child’s education and am committed to providing personalized tutoring that aligns with each student's unique learning style. Whether a student needs extra support to catch up or enrichment opportunities to challenge their skills, I strive to create meaningful learning experiences that help them succeed.
