I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, where I earned a 3.81 GPA and was on the Dean’s List during my final four semesters. My academic background includes extensive coursework in biology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, and other pre-medical sciences. I have also taken the MCAT and completed the medical school application process, and I will be entering medical school in 2027. My research and clinical experiences have further strengthened my understanding of biological concepts and my ability to explain scientific material in practical, understandable ways. I am comfortable tutoring Biology and Chemistry students from elementary school through college, including students interested in pursuing a pre-medical path.

I also have more than 10 years of guitar experience and, since 2023, have taught and mentored more than 40 students through an after-school youth mentoring program. I’m currently offering a unique opportunity to try my unreleased app designed to make progressing from beginner or intermediate toward advanced guitar skills fun, with a focus on learning by ear and improvisation. In exchange for practicing with the app and meeting with me for 5–10 minutes each week to share honest feedback, I’ll charge the lowest tutoring rate Wyzant allows for these check-ins. You can also use that time to ask guitar questions and get personalized guidance on chords, rhythm, scales, fretboard knowledge, learning songs, or improvisation.

Whether a student needs help understanding a difficult biology concept, preparing for an exam, or learning their first guitar song, my goal is to help them become more confident and eventually work through problems independently.

Approved Subjects

Anatomy

Anatomy

I have a strong academic foundation in human anatomy through my biology degree and pre-med coursework. I can help students learn anatomical structures, terminology, planes, organs, muscles, bones, nerves, vessels, and the relationships between major body systems. I focus on making anatomy easier to learn by organizing structures spatially and connecting them to their physiological and clinical functions. I can also help students develop efficient study and memorization strategies for anatomy exams.
Biochemistry

Biochemistry

I have a strong academic background in biochemistry through my biology degree, extensive pre-med coursework and MCAT studying. I can help students with topics including metabolism, enzymes, proteins, amino acids, carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids, cellular respiration, and biochemical pathways. I can also help students connect biochemistry concepts to physiology, medicine, and exam-style questions.
Biology

Biology

I have a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and a 3.81 GPA from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. I have extensive coursework in biology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, and other pre-medical sciences, along with research and clinical experience that has helped me apply these concepts beyond the classroom. I have taken the MCAT and will be entering medical school in 2027, giving me recent experience with rigorous science coursework and standardized-test preparation. I enjoy breaking down difficult concepts into simple, understandable ideas and can work with students from elementary school through college, including students pursuing a pre-medical path.
Guitar

Guitar

I have over 9 years of experience playing guitar and have dedicated more than 1,100 hours to developing my skills on both acoustic and electric guitar. My primary areas of expertise include rock, metal, improvisation, ear training, playing by ear, and developing a strong understanding of the fretboard rather than relying solely on tabs or memorization. Since 2023, I have taught guitar to more than 40 students, helping beginners and developing players learn songs, improve technique, understand music theory, and build confidence. I am also currently developing a guitar-learning app focused on fretboard knowledge, and learning to play by ear, which reflects my continued focus on effective and practical approaches to guitar education.
Microbiology

Microbiology

I have a strong academic background in microbiology through my biology degree and pre-med coursework. I can help students with bacterial and viral structure, microbial metabolism, genetics, pathogenicity, immunology, antibiotics, infectious diseases, and host-pathogen interactions. I focus on understanding the mechanisms behind microbial diseases and treatments rather than relying solely on memorization. I can also help students connect microbiology concepts to physiology, genetics, and clinical medicine.
Physiology

Physiology

I have a strong academic background in human physiology through my biology degree and pre-med coursework. I can help students understand cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, nervous, endocrine, muscular, and gastrointestinal physiology. My approach emphasizes understanding how systems work together and using mechanisms to reason through difficult questions rather than memorizing isolated facts. I can also help students connect physiology to biochemistry, anatomy, and clinical medicine.
