As a third-year Computer Science student at North Carolina State University with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence, my academic journey has always been driven by a passion for problem-solving. This drive extends directly into my work as a math and coding tutor. Having mastered rigorous coursework across Calculus 1/2/3, Linear Algebra, Discrete Mathematics, and core programming languages like Python, Java, and C, I understand firsthand how intimidating complex concepts can feel. My goal as a tutor is to break these subjects down and help students build the genuine confidence they need to excel.

My passion for tutoring began in high school, where for a year I worked one-on-one with peers navigating everything from Algebra 1 to Calculus 2. Whether we were sitting down to tackle a sheet of homework or preparing for an upcoming exam, I learned that every student processes these ideas differently. Some need a visual breakdown, others need to talk through the logic out loud, and the rest need a hands-on walkthrough. By adapting each session to their needs, it gives them the opportunity to fully master the material, directly translating to more confidence when navigating their coursework. As a direct result, I got to see many students receive amazing test scores and improve by multiple letter grades.

As a current undergraduate, I connect with students as a peer who understands exactly what they are going through, explaining complex topics from a relatable perspective rather than one that can feel out of touch. I also understand the stress of the classroom, and make sure our sessions are pressure-free. And having recently taken the same courses, I know the proven strategies that work and can teach them to achieve the results they are looking for. At the end of the day, my goal is to approach tutoring not just as an instructor, but also as a supportive peer who is completely invested in helping them navigate the challenges of being a student today.
