I’m MD! I graduated cum laude with my Bachelor’s in Pure Math from Lipscomb University. I struggled with math in high school, so I decided to challenge myself with it when I got to university. To succeed, I had to dive deep into working out the core aspects of any given topic so that I really understood them. As a result, I’ve developed a keen ability to show students what they’re really *doing* when solving a problem. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing the moment my students understand a mathematical concept.
During my 3.5 years of tutoring experience, I’ve tutored Pre-Algebra all the way up through Differential Equations, with students from all different backgrounds and grade levels. Most of my experience has been one-on-one tutoring, but I’ve occasionally done group sessions. I’ve developed my method to be flexible enough to meet each student where they’re at, while also being able to provide the “big picture” when useful. Sessions tend to be a mixture of explanation, practice, and guided reasoning.
Send me a message to schedule a session, as well as ask any questions you may have. I look forward to hearing from you!
