Experienced and Effective Spanish and ESL Teacher

I am a seasoned teacher with over 30 years experience helping high school students and adults learn English and Spanish. I began my career teaching high school Spanish in public schools. Later, I transitioned to teaching ESL at a community college. Throughout, I have tutored students in both Spanish and English. I truly enjoy creating interesting lesson plans with lots of audiovisual aids. I am very good at making learning easy and helping students reach their goals. I am an experienced, effective, patient, and positive teacher!

I understand that every student learns differently and has their own unique strengths and challenges. I always look for ways to honor each student's learning style and needs. I feel like I've been successful when my students enjoy learning and accomplish their academic goals. I am committed to helping each student succeed.

I have a Spanish degree from Albertus Magnus College with a teaching certificate. I have taught Spanish in the classroom as well as one-on-one. I have helped students improve their grades and pass important exams.

I have 10 years experience teaching ESL to adults at a northern Virginia community college, both in-person and online. I enjoy helping my students have the confidence to communicate well in English!
