I have my bachelors and masters degrees in chemical engineering from North Carolina State University. I graduated as valedictorian in my bachelors. I completed the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, the Advanced Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, and the DataCamp Associate Data Scientist in Python Certificate. Thus, I have the ability and knowledge to tutor in data science, Python, and statistics due to the content from the certificates. Additionally, I am able to tutor in math (elementary math, algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, calculus, and differential equations), chemistry, and chemical engineering, since I have mastered these subjects while studying chemical engineering.
During graduate school, I was a teaching assistant for 4 different semesters and classes in chemical engineering: Intro to Chemical Engineering, Senior Design I, Chemical Engineering Lab, and Process Controls. For all of these classes, I was a teaching assistant for undergraduate students in chemical engineering (primarily aged 18 to 22). I led weekly problem sessions, in person and virtually, for the Intro to Chemical Engineering class, in which there were about 30 students. During the problem session, I created and gave PowerPoint presentations reinforcing concepts from lecture. We also worked together as a class to solve a problem and I would ask the students questions like "What should we do next" as we worked the problem step by step. Other times I let students solve problems individually and then I would go through the problem step by step with the class to see if they did the problem right. I also led in person and virtual office hours in the classes to help students with homework, one on one, in groups, and as a whole class, depending on what I felt was most beneficial to the student(s). I also won an award as the best teaching assistant in the chemical engineering department for one semester, as voted by student and professors, due to my teaching abilities and care for the students.
