Hello! I’m a UNC Chapel Hill graduate with a degree in Neuroscience and a minor in Chemistry, and I have a strong academic background in mathematics. I earned A’s in algebra, geometry, precalculus, calculus, and statistics, and I was a state qualifier on my high school math team. I enjoy problem-solving and have a deep understanding of core math concepts, especially algebra, which allows me to break down challenging topics into clear, manageable steps.
While I am newer to formal tutoring, I have extensive experience helping peers and younger students succeed academically. My teaching approach is highly individualized: I first identify where a student is struggling and how they approach problems, then guide them through the reasoning process rather than simply providing answers. I believe students learn best by actively working through problems with targeted feedback, which helps build both confidence and long-term understanding.
I work with elementary, middle, and high school students, focusing primarily on Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry, and I also offer SAT Math tutoring. My goal is to help students strengthen their fundamentals, improve their problem-solving skills, and feel more confident in math overall.
