I currently hold a North Carolina Standard Professional Educator's license with a Spanish K-12 endorsement. I have more than 20 years of combined experience in teaching and tutoring Spanish. I have extensive training in education and I speak Spanish fluently. I have taken graduate level courses in Reading, Writing, and Literacy and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.

My approach to tutoring is one that is focused and enthusiastic. I apply research-based methods and techniques, specifically through the use of multi-faceted practice activities designed to improve Spanish language skills, and build toward higher levels of proficiency. The different categories of practice activities that I use as techniques are designed to practice specific communicative skills such as: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The lessons are integrated with the three modes of communication: interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational. I help my students improve both their academic Spanish, and their conversational Spanish as well.
