I am an energetic and enthusiastic person who loves to teach. I've always wanted to achieve my goal of teaching and I started that career as soon as I graduated from college. I taught elementary and middle school students for thirteen years and have tutored for over twenty years. I was a certified elementary and middle school teacher with a concentration in earth science and health. I have taught these subjects as well as other science subjects as a tutor.

I learned to play the piano at age 7 and continued taking lesson until I graduated from high school. I played the piano and organ at church and as the pianist for my high school touring choir. I auditioned for the School of Music at UNC-G and was granted entrance, but I decided to major in Elementary Education where I received my BA degree.

I learned to play the flute in 7th grade and played throughout high school in the band and stage band (orchestra style). I was the first chair flutist. I've played for weddings and other events.

I love teaching and helping students become successful in their lives. I believe it's important to teach the student in the style in which they learn. I feel that once you discover a person's learning style you can help them be successful in all areas of their lives, not just a subject in school. I would so appreciate the opportunity to help you.
