Hi everyone! I’m a fourth-year medical student at the UNC Chapel Hill, and I’m applying to residency. Before medical school, I earned a BA in Exercise and Sport Science with a minor in Chemistry from UNC Chapel Hill (2019) and a Master’s in Physiology from NC State (2020). During my gap years, I tutored biology and chemistry at Wake Technical Community College and worked as Chief Scribe in a neuroscience ICU.

Unlike most tutors, I struggled during my first two years of college. I had been a strong student in high school, so it was frustrating to fall behind. However, I didn’t give up on myself. I worked on how I studied, not just how much, and it paid off in my later courses, my master’s program, and medical school. That experience is a big part of why I teach: I want to help students avoid the mistakes I made and build study habits that actually work.
My coursework and training cover upper-level physiology, anatomy, biochemistry, immunology, stress physiology, and nutrition, and I now use this material every day with real patients. I’ve tutored a wide range of students both in person and online, and in medical school I’ve prepared lectures and teaching materials for resident physicians. I’m happy to help with biology, chemistry, anatomy, and physiology.
