I am an experienced STEM educator with 15+ years teaching Math, Chemistry, and Biology at a private college preparatory school and an Early Middle College in Greensboro, NC. I am an experienced STEM educator with 15+ years teaching Math, Chemistry, and Biology at a private college preparatory school and an Early Middle College in Greensboro, NC. My school has achieved the EVASS greatest student growth for consecutive years, and I have helped over 95% of my students pass EOC, State, and District exams.

Previously, I worked as a University Lecturer for 6.5 years, teaching General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Instrumental Analysis, and Analytical Chemistry to Chemistry, Biology, and Pharmacy majors. I also have research experience in Environmental Chemistry.

Helped Learn AP/Honors Chemistry in 2.5 weeks

Sam was great! I had to take an AP/Honors level chem test with only 2.5 weeks to prepare and study when I hadn't taken chemistry in 2 years. He was very accommodating, and he always made time for us to meet, working around my schedule. He also worked to find practice problems that represented what I may encounter during his free time. If you are in need of someone who is a great chemistry teacher and will take the time to ensure you understand every little thing, he is the perfect tutor!

Great Tutor for Chemistry and Math

Samuel has been tutoring my 10th grader in Chemistry and Math (Geometry) online and she has done a lot better in her courses. He is patient and flexible with his time, which helps a great deal since we are on different time zones. He provides her with the knowledge she needs to get a review on topics she has trouble with. I recommend Samuel as a tutor, he is respectful, dependable, knowledgeable and patient.

Samuel is very patient. My daughter has some gaps in her high school math due to some sequencing of classes. This means she is doing advanced math but sometimes is missing some foundational knowledge. Samuel is willing to go back a few steps to help her understand. He also went the extra mile and worked on some math problems outside of the lesson and shared them with her sot hat she would be prepared for her test.
