Flexible, patient, and knowledgeable

Amy worked with my son when he was struggling with Algebra 2. While being very advanced in math when younger, he fell behind in learning during the pandemic and was on the verge of failing this year. With Amy's support, he improved his grade tremendously from quarter 1 to quarter 2 and passed math. He really enjoyed working with her and appreciated that she would make sure he understood concepts. He also appreciated that he was able to give him more than one method of doing something to better match his learning style. I found her very flexible and a good communicator in scheduling. While he's excited to get a break this semester from math, we'll definitely look forward to working with Amy again next year.

I always stress this to students, because then I am able to regroup and show them a different strategy or method that makes more sense to them. :-) It is very typical for me to adjust my methods to match the learning styles of each student and one of the reasons I enjoy working individually with students!! Amy tutored my daughter for an upcoming ACT math test. She was patient and made sure that my daughter truly understood how to complete the problems she struggled with. Amy taught my daughter time-saving techniques to improve her pace. Her communication skills are especially good—she not only cared about how my daughter did on the ACT, but also about how she was coping with the challenges of everyday life during the pandemic. I highly recommend her tutoring services.

After sharing my latest score with Amy, she was able to pinpoint areas that I needed improvement and helped me to focus on these areas first, in order to raise my score. She is very helpful and explains problems in a way that is easy to learn. She also gives strategies for the ACT test that have proved helpful to me. I would recommend her to anyone needing help!
