Hi there! I'm Krysta!

I'm an educator, instructional designer, and lifelong lover of books and writing with 8 teaching high school English, with 7 of those years in a high-stakes EOC course. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a Master of Library Science and I am a fully certified teacher in North Carolina. I've worked with students ranging from middle school through AP-level coursework in both whole-class and one-on-one settings. Additionally, I also have 6 years of experience as an instructional content developer for Albert.io, a major test prep company.

I specialize in English, reading, writing, and test prep. I genuinely love helping students rediscover their confidence in these areas. My classroom experience spans both standard and advanced coursework, including AP Literature, and I bring real depth in standardized test preparation as well. I've supported students through everything from basic reading comprehension to college-level literary analysis.

My specialization in curriculum and instructional design means I don't just know the content, I know how people learn. I identify the specific gaps holding your student back and build sessions tailored to them specifically, not recycled from a script. Whether your student has checked out of reading, is staring down a blank page on every essay, or is pushing for a higher SAT score, I meet them where they are and build real skills alongside genuine confidence.
