Fun Teacher
Ruth, 26 lessons with JoshuaHe was fun, and didn't feel like a teacher. Almost immediately he felt more like a friend. Not to mention the lesson seemed to go by so fast. I don't want to disappoint him, not saying I'll be perfect, but something about him makes me want to try harder.
I went to Doshisha University in Kyoto, Japan to study Japanese law and politics. I currently go to UNCC to get a certificate in translation for Japanese. I am expected to graduate spring of 2018. I've been studying Japanese now for about 15 years. I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia. When I lived in Japan I studied martial arts: kendo and Iaido. I have had experience teaching other people Japanese and Iaido and I loved the experience of teaching.

An excellent tutor. He knows his stuff and is super patient
Appreciate how he not only teaches the language but weaves in Japanese history and culture into his lessons. We are working on sentence structure now! Focusing on the use of particles.
