Leveraging extensive experience in design management and business process improvement, he is a valuable advisor for an organization seeking guidance in large scale project planning and budgeting. His broad areas of expertise include concept design, executive leadership and coaching, sustainability, standards compliance, and risk management within the design and build industry.
In 1998 Jenkins graduated with a five-year Master of Architecture degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design. In 2012 Jenkins, while working full time and to enhance his integrated project delivery skills, went back to college to obtain a Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Certificate from Stanford University. Jenkins is currently licensed in Florida and North Carolina.
From 2010 through 2017, Jenkins was in the design leadership role of Senior Project Design Manager at Walt Disney Imagineering where he led multiple architectural and engineering design teams on several large, technically complex projects. Prior to Disney he worked on and led project design teams on a variety of building types including Institutional, Healthcare, Judicial, Hospitality, Transportation, and Governmental.
Upon leaving Walt Disney Imagineering in 2017, Jenkins started his own Design Management Consulting company where he consults with and provides subject matter expertise and project leadership for new, confidential projects for multiple themed entertainment, theme park companies, and other commercial/business clients all over North America and abroad.
In 2020 Jenkins, in an effort to share his experience and successful design management practices, authored a book, The Design Manager: Successful Management of the Design Process, to teach others successful, real-world design management practices for current or new Design Managers.
