About Rob

Bio

Hi, I'm Rob, and I've spent over 10 years helping students transform their relationship with math. My experience as a licensed Math teacher as well as tutoring students from 1st grade through college math courses has taught me how I can break down math ideas so that students of all ages can understand and learn math. If you've ever felt stuck, frustrated, or convinced that "math just isn't for you"—I've got great news: that's not true.

I know what it's like to struggle. Most of my students come to me feeling overwhelmed—
whether it's algebra, geometry, or other math. They've tried other tutors, watched videos, but
something still wasn't clicking.

Here's what I do differently. I don't just teach formulas; I teach *understanding*. I break down complex
concepts into bite-sized pieces, meet you where you are, and tailor everything to your learning style.
Whether you're a visual learner, need step-by-step walkthroughs, or learn best through real-world examples— I've got you covered.

My students don't just improve their grades. They gain confidence. They stop dreading math.

In the past, I've helped hundreds of students raise their grades, and become more confident in their
math skills. But the thing I'm most proud of? Students telling me they actually *enjoy* math now.

Whether you need help catching up, getting ahead, or conquering your next test, I'm here to help you
succeed. Tutoring works best when there's real connection and clear communication—and that's
exactly what you'll get.

If you're ready to change your math story, let's talk. Reach out today, and let's schedule a free consultation.
I'm confident we can work together to help you achieve your goals. I look forward to working with you.

Approved Subjects

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I possesses a deep, intuitive understanding of abstract mathematical structures and relationships, allowing students to recognize patterns and connections that others might miss. I have mastered not just computational techniques—solving equations, factoring polynomials, manipulating expressions—but also the underlying logical principles and reasoning that make those techniques work, enabling me to explain why methods are valid rather than just how to apply them. I can fluidly move between different representations of problems (equations, graphs, verbal descriptions, tables), translate real-world situations into algebraic models, and strategically choose the most elegant or efficient solution path for complex problems. Finally, I possess the ability to extend knowledge beyond standard curricula, recognizing connections to advanced mathematics, teaching or mentoring others effectively, and approaching unfamiliar algebraic challenges with confidence and creativity rather than memorized procedures.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

Geometry

Geometry

I understand that a geometry expert possesses a strong spatial intuition and visual reasoning ability, allowing them to mentally manipulate shapes, visualize three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional representations, and intuitively grasp how geometric properties relate to one another. I recognize that true expertise requires not just knowing formulas and procedures for calculating areas, volumes, and angles, but understanding the fundamental axioms, theorems, and logical proofs that underpin geometric relationships, so I can explain why a theorem is true rather than simply applying it mechanically. I can fluidly translate between different geometric representations—moving from coordinate systems to synthetic geometry to analytic approaches—and I'm able to identify elegant solution paths for complex problems by recognizing underlying geometric structures and symmetries. As a geometry expert, I possess the ability to connect geometry to other mathematical domains and real-world applications, mentor others through geometric reasoning, and approach novel geometric challenges with creative problem-solving rather than relying solely on memorized techniques.
