I am a certified special educator with more than twenty-four years of experience supporting children with diverse learning needs. I hold a Master’s in Literacy (MEd) and an Education Specialist degree (Ed.S.), along with advanced training in autism, behavior, and structured literacy interventions. My background includes serving as a reading specialist, interventionist, and educational therapist, and I am an SEAA-approved provider. These roles have allowed me to work deeply with students who require individualized, evidence-based instruction that goes beyond traditional tutoring.

Throughout my career, I have taught learners from preschool through middle school in both classroom and one-to-one settings. I specialize in structured literacy (Orton-Gillingham aligned), adapted curriculum, foundational reading, comprehension, writing, and functional academics. My approach blends explicit instruction with hands-on, meaningful activities so students can build real confidence, independence, and a strong understanding of their own learning processes. I also integrate behavior-supportive strategies rooted in my training as an autism and behavior specialist, helping students feel grounded, successful, and regulated during sessions.

My goal is to meet each child where they are and create a customized plan that supports growth, reduces frustration, and makes learning feel achievable again. Whether a child needs intensive reading intervention, adapted academic support, or a structured approach tailored to their unique profile, I partner closely with families to ensure progress at home and in school. I believe every child deserves instruction that honors their strengths and gives them a clear pathway forward, and I’m committed to providing that with compassion, expertise, and consistent communication
