Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile!
My name is Priya, and I graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering. Whether you're preparing for the SAT, ACT, GRE, or need help in math, I'd love the opportunity to help you reach your goals. I believe every student learns differently, so my goal is to create a supportive environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and celebrating your progress.
Over the past three years, I've tutored students ages 12 to 25 in both one-on-one and classroom settings. I began as an online statistics tutor before teaching an introductory engineering course with about 60 students and later tutoring Biomedical Engineering students at Purdue in a classroom of about 30. These experiences taught me how to adapt my teaching style to each student's unique needs while making challenging topics easier to understand.
I know what it takes to succeed on standardized exams because I've taken them myself. I earned a 1460 SAT, 33 ACT, and GRE scores of 158 Verbal, 162 Quantitative, and 4.0 Analytical Writing. I also earned A grades in Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus, Trigonometry, and AP Calculus BC, giving me a strong foundation to help students succeed in both test preparation and mathematics.
My teaching philosophy is simple: I don't just want you to get the right answer—I want you to understand why it's right. I guide students with questions instead of immediately providing solutions, helping them build lasting problem-solving skills and confidence. Together we'll set realistic goals, celebrate progress, and develop the strong foundation needed to tackle new challenges independently. I'd be honored to help you achieve your academic goals!
