Hey there! My name is Josey and I currently work as a Registered Nurse at Duke University Hospital Children's Hospital with the Pediatric Surgery team. I've been a nurse for 5 years and love my job very much. Working at a teaching hospital has allowed me to become very passionate about teaching and helping others succeed, as I often struggled with confidence in my learning at a younger age. I would love to help you not only become successful and proficient in Spanish and Nursing curriculum but I would love to help you feel confident in your ability to learn.

A little about me: I grew up in Asheville, North Carolina and love the mountains and anything to do with being outside. I love CrossFit, my job, my family, as well as doing whatever I can to help those around me in whatever capacity they may need, including tutoring.

I'm a nurse with over five years of diverse experience both in treating adults and children. I spent three years in a foreign country practicing as a nurse and had to learn and research quickly in order to take care of patients safely and effectively.

As I previously mentioned, I spent three years living in Peru where I studied Spanish rather extensively for the first year abroad. After my first year of study I communicated almost entirely in Spanish my remaining two years. I am qualified to tutor you in Spanish because this experience allowed me not only to become fluent but to understand the often difficult process of learning a new language.
