All of the tutors here are experienced and able, but only some of us are so experienced that we focus on what is most important --- understanding each student and their unique strengths and needs.

I have 31 years as an educator. I am Georgia certified 7 - 12 in English. I have taught English and other language based classes to students in grades 5 - 12, working often in team taught classes with special education teachers. I have run student support teams and can read and interpret neurological and educational psychological reports.

I have been a member of admissions committees at five schools over the years, and been in charge of the placement process at three K-8 independent schools. I have deep knowledge of what independent schools, colleges, and universities are looking for in candidates, and I know how to position students for success in this area.
