Hello! I am a current Ph.D. candidate at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where I am a teaching assistant for an undergraduate statistics course. I received my BS from Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA, where I double majored in Psychology and Philosophy. I have been doing research in experimental psychology for over 4 years, and am in the process of publishing research in a few APA journals.

My experience tutoring has been at the undergraduate level for a few years now, and across a few different subjects: Philosophy, Psychology, and Statistics / Data analysis. My approach is simple and effective: Meet the student where they are. Students come from all manner of background and contexts, and therefore have different starting points. Thus, my philosophy has always been that it does not matter where we start –– I will get you where you need to go.

In addition to my expertise in all of the above subjects, I also bring an expertise in behavior. Part of "meeting students where they are" is being able to understand where they come from. If you are looking for someone who will give you a personal tutoring experience that is tailored to your specific needs, then you have come to the right person!

Data Analysis

Data Analysis

Data analysis is the name of the game when you are in a Ph.D. program for experimental psychology. I regularly work with complex statistical methods, including prediction rule ensembles, random forests, and a few other machine-learning-esque things. I also do some work with text analysis, and of course, the ever-convenient parametric methods.
Essay Writing

Essay Writing

Psychology and philosophy are both extremely writing-intensive fields, with different styles of writing. In psychology, my experience lies in scientific writing for APA journals- this involves a lot of citations and technical notation. In philosophy, my experience lies in the systematic and logic-bound communication of complex ideas.
Logic

Logic

I majored in philosophy at Saint Joseph's University. Most of my coursework was either logic and metaphysics, or required the use of logic and metaphysics. In addition, I would also tutor students taking logic courses.
Philosophy

Philosophy

I majored in Philosophy at Saint Joseph's University, and won the Philosophy Award in 2025, which is only given once a year. I am now a PhD candidate in experimental psychology at UNC. My coursework & thesis included lots and lots of logic and metaphysics, as well as philosophy in the continental tradition. Most of my studies were dedicated to things like the philosophy of minds and souls, freedom & determinism, and Nietzsche and Foucault.
R

R

R is the standard statistical software that I use in my scientific research. In general, I typically use nonparametric machine learning methods such as random forests, prediction rule ensembles, and of course adjacent methods such as bootstrap aggregating, lasso regression, etc. I also use the ever-handy parametric statistical methods. Of course, this all comes with prerequisite knowledge of some basic data cleaning and manipulation tricks.
Statistics

Statistics

I am a TA for an undergraduate statistics course at the University of North Carolina, where I am also a doctoral candidate doing research that uses quite complex statistics (e.g., non-parametric methods such as prediction rule ensembles, random forests, decision trees, as well as some things in text analysis).
Thesis Writing

Thesis Writing

The first step to a good piece of writing is, of course, a coherent, focused thesis. I have much experience thesis writing for scientific publications in psychology as well as philosophical works in the analytical tradition. My experience allows me to systematically develop clear, coherent, and highly intentional theses.
