Hi, I'm a certified educator with a strong background in literacy and over five years of experience working with students in grades K–6. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education (B–6) with a concentration in math, and I'm currently completing my Master's in Literacy Education. I'm certified to teach both Early Childhood Birth and Grade 2) and Childhood (Grades 1-6).

My teaching style is supportive, structured, and research-based. I have experience working with both confident learners and those who need extra support to build foundational reading and writing skills, so I know how to meet your child where they are at and help them to grow in a safe, positive environment where they feel seen, capable, and proud of their progress.

I completed my student teaching in a 1st grade classroom, where I designed and taught an integrated unit plan with an emphasis on differentiation, collaboration, and student-centered learning. I also planned and led daily instruction, administered formal and informal assessments, and implemented classroom management strategies to foster independence and responsibility. While teaching Kindergarten, I discovered my passion for teaching phonics and early literacy skills. I've seen firsthand how these foundational skills empower children and set them up for lifelong academic success and I want to be part of that journey. I've also worked 1:1 with 4th graders during a practicum, as well as with 2nd and 5th graders through my graduate clinical fieldwork, where I designed and implemented personalized literacy interventions focused on phonics, decoding, fluency, comprehension, and writing.

I truly want my students to grow and succeed, so I welcome any background information or resources parents can share to help support their learning. I'm also easy to reach and always aim to respond quickly and clearly. Whether your child is developing early reading skills, struggling with comprehension, or needs targeted support in writing or math, I'm happy to help!

ADHD

I am a certified K–6 teacher with over 10 years of tutoring experience and a graduate student in Literacy Education. I have classroom and one-on-one experience working with students with ADHD and attention-related challenges. My approach emphasizes structure, flexibility, and engagement—using multisensory activities, clear routines, and interactive strategies to help students stay focused and motivated. I create low-pressure, confidence-building lessons that are personalized to each learner’s pace, needs, and interests. In addition, I have collaborated closely with parents to develop behavior plans that complement academic goals and provide consistent support across home and school environments. My goal is to help students with ADHD feel successful and supported while developing the academic skills and self-confidence they need to thrive.
Common Core

Common Core

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education (K–6) from a nationally ranked education program, where I received extensive training in designing instruction aligned to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). I have experience analyzing and interpreting the CCSS in both math and ELA across grades K–12, and have worked directly with students in kindergarten through sixth grade to help them meet these benchmarks through individualized, standards-based instruction. My background includes both classroom teaching and over 10 years of tutoring experience, giving me a strong understanding of how to help students build the skills and confidence they need to succeed with Common Core.

Homeschool

Homeschool

I am a certified K–6 teacher with over 10 years of tutoring experience and a background in both early childhood and childhood education. My teaching philosophy is rooted in the constructivist learning theory, which recognizes that students build knowledge based on their prior experiences, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds. As Kimmons & Ottenbreit-Leftwich (2020) state, “Learning is constructed by learners on top of previous experience, attitudes, and beliefs.” With this perspective, I incorporate culturally and linguistically responsive teaching practices that validate and affirm each child’s identity, creating a positive, student-centered learning environment. I specialize in designing engaging, standards-aligned lessons that meet children where they are, whether they need academic support, enrichment, or a full learning plan. I work closely with families to ensure instruction fits their goals, pace, and values, and I strive to create authentic, meaningful experiences that build both skills and confidence. My goal is always to empower students through learning that is relevant, respectful, and responsive to who they are.
