After graduating from North Carolina Central University in 2016 with a B.A. in Middle Grades Education, I've had the incredible privilege of spending the last decade doing what I love most: helping middle schoolers fall in love with math. My journey began with a focus on both math and science, but it's been the world of numbers where I've found my true calling. I'm not just here to teach equations; I'm here to build confidence and help students realize just how brilliant they truly are. I know firsthand that so many students believe they're "bad" at math, and I've made it my mission to change that narrative.
I meet every student right where they are, taking the time to understand their unique needs and challenges. Together, we'll build a rock-solid foundation, brick by patient brick, until they can stand tall and tackle any problem that comes their way. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a student's face light up when a concept finally clicks. I genuinely believe that with the right guidance and a little bit of encouragement, every single student has the capacity to not only succeed but to excel. My ultimate goal is for them to walk away with more than just a passing grade, I want them to walk away with a belief in themselves and the understanding that challenging concepts are okay, and with a strong foundation, they are more than capable of handling anything.
