I am a graduate student at North Carolina State University completing my Master’s in Physiology, and I hold a bachelor’s degree in Integrative Neuroscience from Binghamton University. I am currently preparing to apply to dental school and have completed extensive coursework in the biological and chemical sciences required for pre-health tracks. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, neuroscience, and physiology. In addition to science tutoring, I also provide support with writing, including editing and revising academic papers as well as helping students develop strong personal statements for graduate and professional school applications. I will also be serving as a Biology teaching assistant this upcoming semester.
My tutoring experience includes working with elementary and middle school students in reading and literacy, as well as tutoring middle school and high school students in science subjects. This range of experience has helped me develop the ability to adjust my teaching style to different ages and learning levels, from foundational skills to more advanced scientific concepts. I focus on making material approachable by breaking it down clearly and reinforcing understanding through practice and active engagement.
My teaching approach emphasizes building strong conceptual understanding rather than memorization, while tailoring each session to the student’s individual goals and learning style. I help students prepare for exams, complete coursework, strengthen study strategies, and improve academic writing, including personal statements for professional and graduate school applications.
