I am a certified teacher with over ten years of experience helping students build confidence and mastery in mathematics. I hold a Master’s degree in Education and have taught math at the elementary and middle school levels, with a strong focus on grades 4–8. My classroom teaching experience has given me the ability to quickly identify gaps in understanding and create personalized strategies to help students move forward. I have worked with a wide range of learners, from students who struggle with math anxiety to those who are ready for enrichment and advanced problem-solving.

My tutoring approach is patient, encouraging, and rooted in breaking concepts down into simple, clear steps. I believe that students learn best when instruction is engaging, so I often incorporate interactive methods and tools such as real-world problem scenarios, visual models, and educational technology platforms. For example, I have successfully used platforms like Nearpod, Blooket, and EdPuzzle to make lessons interactive and enjoyable while reinforcing key skills. Parents often share that their children leave our sessions not only with stronger math skills but also with a renewed sense of confidence in their abilities.

Over the years, I have provided both one-on-one and small-group instruction, tailoring each session to meet the specific needs of the student. I specialize in topics that are foundational for long-term math success, including fractions, ratios, proportions, percentages, and algebra readiness. Whether a student needs support catching up, staying on grade level, or getting ahead, I work to create a supportive learning environment where questions are encouraged and progress is celebrated. My ultimate goal is to help students see math as a subject they can approach with confidence, curiosity, and even enjoyment.
