Hi! My name is Berk and I am currently a third-year resident in general surgery at Duke University. My educational journey began at the University of Heidelberg, where I graduated with honors (magna cum laude) in 2014. Throughout my medical school years, I took on the roles of an anatomy and pharmacology tutor, nurturing my passion for teaching and mentoring.

After completing my medical degree, I embarked on a postdoctoral research fellowship at New York University School of Medicine. During this phase, I had the privilege of contributing to prestigious journals such as 'Nature' and 'Science Immunology' by publishing multiple research papers.
