I’m a 5-star math and test prep tutor with over 500 reviews and 2,000+ hours of experience helping students build confidence and improve their scores. I earned my B.S. in Mathematics from Clemson University (3.8 GPA), and for the past 8 years, I’ve worked with students in Algebra through Calculus, Statistics, Discrete Math, as well as SAT, ACT, and GRE math.

I specialize in helping students who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or anxious. Having experienced test anxiety myself, I help students slow down, break problems into manageable steps, and develop clear strategies so that math feels structured rather than stressful. When students understand both the method and the reasoning, math becomes far less intimidating. Many students tell me they leave sessions feeling calmer, clearer, and more capable.

Whether you want to raise test scores, succeed in advanced math classes, strengthen foundations, or reduce test anxiety before exams, I’d love to help. Bonus: my cat sometimes pops into online sessions to supervise — she’s very encouraging!

Knowledgeable and Patient Tutor

Jessie has been an outstanding math tutor for our son over the past few months. She has been helping him with middle school algebra, and the difference in his confidence and understanding has been remarkable. Jessie explains concepts in a way that is clear, patient, and easy to follow. She takes the time to make sure our son truly understands the material rather than just memorizing steps, and she always encourages him to think through problems on his own while offering the right amount of guidance. Her supportive and positive approach has made math far less intimidating for him. What we appreciate most is how reliable and dedicated Jessie is. She comes prepared, stays focused on our sons needs, and consistently reinforces the skills he’s learning in school. Our son now approaches algebra with much more confidence and a stronger foundation. I highly recommend Jessie to any parent looking for a knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging math tutor.

This is the most knowledgeable tutor my daughter has ever had. She enjoyed all of her sessions and she doesn't even like math. Jessie made it painless and sessions engaging and meaningful. 10 stars!!!

Knowledgeable and Client-Centered

My experience with Jessie was great. She tutored me primarily on GRE Math and did it by focusing on my weaknesses and improving my strategy. I would not have achieved my goal score without Jessie’s help, and you can trust her to bring a specialized approach to each session.

Extremely Helpful!

My daughter fell behind in her math when she was out sick and felt completely overwhelmed trying to learn the material on her own. Jessie was able to answer all of her questions and get her caught up in no time. My daughter felt so much more confident and prepared to dive back in to class!

Wonderful!

Jessie has worked with both my daughter for 8th grade math and my son for Algebra 2. She has really helped my kids have a better understanding of their material and feel more confident before an upcoming test. Will definitely use her again!

Awesome tutor

I highly recommend Jessie for math tutoring! Jessie has been regularly tutoring my daughter for AP Pre-Calc. My daughter has really enjoyed working with Jessie and noted that Jessie ensures that my daughter fully understands the current concept before they move on to the next problem. My daughter recently scored 100% on the unit knowledge check so is definitely more confident. Jessie is very pleasant to work with as well!

Fantastic Support

My daughter had a great experience with Jessie! They worked through my daughter's summer math packet for College Algebra, and Jessie helped make the concepts much easier for her to understand. We're looking forward to working with her again!

Pre-Calc Tutor

My son, who is a bit resistant to tutoring, is finding his time with Jessie quite valuable. He is asking for tutoring each week. If they finish up a bit early with his work, she will give him a few practice problems just to make sure he. has a good understanding.
