I have been a History, Social Studies, Art, Theater, and Music teacher during all those years. I am glad that I had the chance to teach different subjects, and to reach students of all ages.
My major at college was Secondary Education (History). I have three years of experience as a History teacher. I taught several courses such as Puerto Rico, United States, Latin American, World and European History, and I also approved credits in the master's degree program of Cultural Studies of PR and the Caribbean at the Center of Advanced Studies in Old San Juan, PR.
My minor during my bachelor's degree was Popular Music. I studied jazz guitar as a major instrument, piano and Puerto Rican cuatro as minor instruments. I played in several cover bands over the years, and I also played in a band of my own. We used to play at small music festivals and mostly in private Christmas parties throughout the island.
Even though I do not have a formal education in visual arts I have been painting all my life, since was three years old, specifically. I have worked in theatre scenography I have sold a lot of my paintings, and I am currently working on the proposal for my first solo exhibition. I like to work in any material that I can find from canvas to drawing pads from boxes to sea shells. Everything could be turn into a great piece of art.
