Thoughtful, Supportive, and Highly Effective ESL Tutor
Katherine is very open-minded and collaborative, and we’ve had great discussions together about the structure and content of ESL tutoring. She is extremely kind and supportive with students, and I really appreciate her thoughtful pacing—from first building trust and rapport, to gradually increasing expectations and tasks. This approach has worked very well for Felix. We’ve only completed four sessions so far, but Felix already enjoys communicating with Katherine and feels comfortable in their lessons, which is very important for language learning. We’re looking forward to seeing clear progress in his English listening and speaking skills in the near future. Katherine has also begun providing ESL-supported biology help, which has been very helpful in addressing Felix’s language-based challenges in his science class. Overall, she is attentive, patient, and genuinely invested in her students’ growth. I highly recommend her as a tutor.
