My teaching and tutoring philosophy has always embodied knowledge of the student first. I love helping students with college and grad school planning/admissions. I'm trained in education and international studies, with cross-disciplinary work in social sciences and humanities. I'm also a prize-winning creative writer, with an excellent background in grammar and language structure. My own PhD training, as well as the guidance of Stanford and UCLA students on theses and dissertations, have provided me with expertise in research development and methodology. In my spare time, I've volunteered as a coach in multiple sports, even winning four national championships ! Whether teaching, tutoring, or coaching, I adhere to strict objectives but always with good humor and a light touch.

I have taught university-level courses with anthropological and sociological content and methods (e.g., "Children and Urban Poverty"), as well as courses in advanced research methodology for the social sciences.
