Hi! I'm Arav, a student at Duke University, a perfect 1600 SAT and 36 ACT scorer, and a college admissions counselor with experience helping students navigate the college application process. I also run a college admissions consulting business with a team of talented students who have been accepted to some of the nation's top universities, including MIT, Princeton, Columbia, Cornell, UChicago, Duke, Vanderbilt, and Carnegie Mellon. Through our work, we help students strengthen their applications, develop compelling personal narratives, and approach the admissions process with confidence.
Beyond college admissions counseling, I have experience providing one-on-one SAT tutoring and volunteering as a computer science instructor through Carnegie Mellon University's CS Academy. My academic background includes advanced coursework in mathematics and computer science, and I enjoy helping students break down challenging concepts into simple, understandable steps. Whether I'm helping a student improve their SAT score or develop a standout college application, I tailor my approach to their individual strengths, weaknesses, and goals.
My philosophy is that successful college preparation goes beyond strong grades and test scores. It's about understanding what makes each student unique and helping them communicate that effectively. Through personalized guidance on extracurricular activities, college lists, application essays, and standardized testing, I aim to make the admissions process more manageable and less overwhelming. My goal is to provide students with the strategies, resources, and support they need to put forward their strongest possible applications.
