I recently graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, where I double majored in History and Health & Societies with a concentration in Public Health. This fall, I will begin a Master’s degree in Population Health Sciences at Duke University. Throughout my time at Penn, I developed strong skills in academic writing, research, historical analysis, public health, and critical reading, and I enjoy helping students build confidence in these areas as well.
In addition to my academic background, I have experience mentoring and teaching students in both formal and informal settings. I worked as a teaching assistant for Ukrainian language courses at Penn, where I helped students strengthen their language comprehension and communication skills in a supportive one-on-one and classroom environment. I have also worked closely with peers on research papers, essay writing, study strategies, and presentation preparation across history, social science, and writing-intensive courses. My experience conducting independent research and presenting academic work has strengthened my ability to explain difficult concepts in a clear and approachable way.
My tutoring approach focuses on adapting to each student’s individual learning style. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities. Whether a student needs help organizing essays, understanding course material, improving study habits, or preparing for exams, I focus on breaking complex topics into manageable and understandable steps. I especially enjoy helping middle school, high school, and college students improve their writing, analytical thinking, and overall academic confidence.
