I am currently a sophomore at Duke University studying mechanical engineering and minoring in physics. I have 5 years of experience in teaching and tutoring math and science. I have taught in various settings including classrooms, summer camps, arts education, group tutoring, and 1-on-1 tutoring.

As a tutor I work towards helping students build both confidence and deep understanding. I specialize in a wide range of math subjects, including elementary math, algebra, geometry, precalculus, AP Calculus AB, multivariable calculus, differential equations, and SAT math preparation. Some other available subjects I tutor in are AP Physics 1, AP Physics C: Mechanics, and SAT reading.

Alongside my academic work, I have several years of tutoring experience working with middle school and high school students, particularly those who were struggling or at risk of failing. I’ve consistently helped these students turn things around—passing their courses, improving test scores, and gaining a clearer understanding of the material. My teaching style focuses on breaking down complex concepts into simple, intuitive steps. I aim to meet students where they are, identify gaps in understanding, and build a strong foundation that allows them to succeed independently. I am patient and supportive, but I also encourage discipline and problem-solving skills so students can grow more confident in their abilities over time.

For SAT math students, I focus not only on content review but also on strategy—helping students recognize patterns, manage time effectively, and approach problems efficiently. Many of my students have improved to scores of 700+ through targeted practice and structured guidance.

My goal as a tutor is not just to help students improve their grades, but to help them feel more capable and in control of their learning. Whether a student is struggling or aiming for top scores, I work to create a clear, personalized path toward success.
