Hello! I'm Victoria I graduated North Carolina Central University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary education. I have been teaching for five years, I have a passion for helping young learners thrive and build confidence in their learning. I’ve taught 4th grade reading for a year and spent four years in Kindergarten. My primary focus has been on phonics, foundational reading skills, handwriting, and simple math.
I believe that phonics and reading skills are incredibly important. In my teaching, I emphasize the significance of a strong foundation in reading and writing. I use methods such as movements and fun songs, to help students not only learn but also retain the information better. My goal is to make learning enjoyable while building confidence in my students. I have been tutoring for about 2 years. My approach involves working with small groups where I can give personalized attention to students who may be struggling. I also crete lesson plans to fit the student individual needs.
I am a very communicative person. I believe that open lines of communication are key to a successful tutoring experience. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a tutoring session!
