Hi! I’m Vaibhav. I hold a Master of Science in Quantitative Management: Business Analytics (Finance Concentration) from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. Most of my work is in applied math and statistics, and I’ve used those skills in projects like time-series forecasting and financial modeling. I tutor Algebra 2, Precalculus, SAT Math, Statistics, and Microsoft Excel. I genuinely enjoy tutoring because I like helping students go from “I don’t know where to start” to having a clear plan and the confidence to solve problems on their own.

My sessions are structured, but not rigid. I usually begin by asking a few quick questions or looking at a recent homework or test problem to find the exact point where things start to break down. Then we work through a small set of examples together, and I will have the student explain the steps back to me in their own words so I know it really makes sense. For SAT Math, we focus on fundamentals, smart shortcuts, pacing, and avoiding common traps. For statistics, I emphasize interpretation and intuition, including probability, distributions, regression, and hypothesis testing. For Excel, I teach practical skills like formulas, organizing data, and building clean spreadsheets that students can reuse.

I work with high school students, college students, and adult learners. If you tell me what you’re working on, such as a class, an exam date, or specific topics, I will keep sessions focused and make a simple plan so you can see progress week to week. My goal is that you leave each lesson feeling more confident, with a repeatable process you can use even when I’m not there.

Approved Subjects

Algebra 2

Algebra 2

My graduate training in quantitative analytics at Duke University required strong algebraic reasoning used in statistics, modeling, and financial analysis. I regularly apply algebraic problem-solving in building predictive models and working with structured datasets. When tutoring, I focus on helping students understand the logic behind equations and transformations rather than memorizing steps. I guide students through problems methodically so they gain confidence and accuracy.
Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel has been a core tool throughout my graduate training in quantitative analytics at Duke University. I have used Excel extensively for financial modeling, regression analysis, forecasting, and structured data analysis. I help students learn both core fundamentals and advanced features such as formulas, functions, and analytical tools. My approach focuses on practical understanding so students can confidently use Excel for assignments, research, and real-world applications.
Precalculus

Precalculus

My graduate work in quantitative management at Duke University required a strong mathematical foundation that builds directly on precalculus concepts such as functions, transformations, and analytical reasoning. I regularly work with mathematical relationships used in modeling and statistical analysis. When tutoring, I emphasize understanding how different function types behave and how to approach problems systematically. I help students build clarity and confidence so they are well prepared for calculus and higher-level math.
SAT Math

SAT Math

My background in quantitative analytics and statistics from Duke University allows me to guide students through SAT Math topics with structured problem-solving methods and efficient strategies. I am experienced in breaking down complex questions into manageable steps and identifying the fastest solution approaches, which is essential for standardized tests. I help students strengthen both their mathematical understanding and their test-taking confidence. My sessions focus on accuracy, pacing, and recognizing common SAT problem patterns.
Statistics

Statistics

Statistics is a core component of my Master of Science in Quantitative Management: Business Analytics (Finance Track) from Duke University. My academic and project work involved statistical modeling, probability analysis, forecasting, and interpreting real-world datasets using tools such as Python, R, SQL, and Excel. I help students understand both how to compute statistical results and how to interpret them correctly. My teaching approach focuses on building intuition for probability, distributions, and data analysis so students gain lasting confidence.
