I am a second-year medical student at Duke University School of Medicine with a strong academic background in the biological sciences, neuroscience, physiology, and psychology. Prior to medical school, I completed extensive undergraduate and graduate-level coursework in science and math at Boston University and Harvard University Extension School. During my gap years, I also served as a teaching assistant for three semesters, which gave me formal experience teaching complex material, guiding students through difficult concepts, and supporting learners with different academic strengths.

My tutoring and teaching experience includes working with students ranging from middle school and high school through college and premedical coursework. My work has primarily been one-on-one, both in person and virtually, as well as in small-group academic settings through my teaching assistant role. I have taught and tutored subjects including biology, psychology, neurobiology, physiology, algebra, and MCAT preparation. Across these settings, I focused on helping students build strong conceptual foundations, improve problem-solving skills, and gain confidence in test-taking environments.

My teaching approach is structured, efficient, and adaptable to each student’s goals and learning style. I emphasize understanding core principles rather than memorization, using clear frameworks and guided practice to promote long-term retention. As a medical student, I bring a systems-based and clinically informed perspective that helps students understand not just what to learn, but why it matters. I enjoy working with motivated students and helping them achieve measurable academic improvement.

Approved Subjects

Biostatistics

Biostatistics

I am a medical student with a strong foundation in biostatistics as applied to the MCAT and health sciences coursework. During my gap years, I served as a teaching assistant for three semesters, which gave me formal experience teaching and reinforcing core biostatistics concepts in small-group and one-on-one academic settings. My training emphasizes interpreting data, understanding study design, and analyzing statistical results commonly presented in passages, tables, and figures. I focus on practical application and pattern recognition to help students confidently interpret data and avoid common statistical traps.
MCAT

MCAT

I am a medical student with a strong academic foundation in the biological, psychological, and social sciences that make up the MCAT. My training has given me extensive experience applying these concepts to passage-based, data-driven questions similar to those on the exam. I have tutored MCAT-relevant subjects including biology, psychology, sociology, and neuroscience in one-on-one and small-group settings. My approach emphasizes conceptual understanding, passage analysis, and test-taking strategy to help students improve consistency and confidence.
