I am a third-year Biomedical Engineering student at Duke University with a strong background in mathematics and test preparation. I graduated high school with a 4.6 GPA, near the top of my class, completed advanced math coursework, and earned a 36 on the ACT. My experience allows me to tutor students from middle school through high school, including AP courses, as well as guide college-bound students in standardized test prep and college consulting.
Since 2019, I have tutored students ages 7–19 in one-on-one and group settings, both in person and virtually. I served as lead tutor and assistant manager at a Mathnasium center in Northern Virginia, and I created and led multiple nonprofit virtual tutoring programs during COVID-19. These experiences taught me how to tailor lessons to each student’s needs, adapt to different learning styles, and build confidence alongside academic skills.
My tutoring approach emphasizes hands-on practice and repeated problem solving. I focus on helping students master concepts through consistent practice, while fostering understanding, curiosity, and independent problem-solving skills. Whether in one-on-one sessions or small groups, I aim to provide a structured, supportive environment where students can achieve measurable improvement and develop a genuine appreciation for learning.
