I am an English tutor with a B.A. and M.A. in English and college-level teaching experience from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During graduate school, I taught first-year writing and introductory literature courses, working with students across a wide range of skill levels. I designed assignments, led discussions, and provided detailed feedback to help students build confidence in reading, analysis, and academic writing.

In addition to teaching, I have several years of experience as a professional writer for LitCharts, a leading educational publisher. I have written full-length literature guides, chapter summaries, and thematic analyses used by students nationwide.

As a tutor, I specialize in English, essay writing, AP Literature, SAT EBRW, and reading comprehension. My approach is structured, supportive, and highly individualized. I focus on helping students understand why certain writing and reading strategies work, so they can apply those skills independently.
