I proceeded to coach youth soccer for the following 5 years working with athletes between the ages of 4-16 and eventually decided to return to school to get my master's in teaching. In 2021, I graduated from the University of Washington with a 4.0 GPA and began my career as a Kindergarten teacher.

I'm Andre! I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Seattle University in 2015 with a dual degree in International Studies and French. I proceeded to coach youth soccer for the following 5 years working with athletes between the ages of 4-16 and eventually decided to return to school to get my master's in teaching. In 2021, I graduated from the University of Washington with a 4.0 GPA and began my career as a Kindergarten teacher.
I have been teaching Kindergarten in public schools in Washington and North Carolina for the past 5 years (including my internship year in 2020). In the Kindergarten classroom I am constantly working with students one-on-one or in leveled small groups. I have completed extensive training in the Science of Reading methodology and am well-equipped to support any student to build their foundational reading skills through a structured and sequential learning process.
I am prepared and motivated to support any learner and am open to any suggestions or feedback that families/students can provide. While I am most knowledgeable about students in the early elementary ages, I have experience working with students of a wide variety of ages. The most wonderful experience as a teacher is watching a student have a "light bulb" moment and I am highly motivated to support you / your student to have many of those moments.
