I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychological and Brain Sciences with a minor in Latin American Studies from Washington University in St. Louis, where I graduated magna cum laude with a 3.96 major GPA. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology at Duke University, supported by the Dean’s Graduate Fellowship. My academic career includes published research in peer-reviewed journals such as Psychological Assessment and Journal of General Internal Medicine, focusing on cognition, mental health, and behavioral interventions. These experiences have equipped me to tutor advanced topics in psychology, neuroscience, and research methods with a deep understanding of both theory and practical application. I am also a native Spanish speaker, specializing in helping others practice their conversational use of the language as well as aiding in document translation and copy editing within my research roles.

My teaching experience spans diverse age groups and settings. While I was working at Brown University and The Miriam Hospital, I was served as a mentor in the Lifespan Mentoring Program, where I provided weekly one-on-one guidance to high school students, helping them navigate college applications and coursework. At my undergraduate institution, I served as a Residential Advisor for a building of over 60 people, leading workshops on time management and study strategies for students. Additionally, my research roles have involved recruiting and guiding low-income families in health education programs. These experiences have strengthened my ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt to individual learning needs. I am interested in working with students that are passionate and motivated to engage with difficult topics, and I look forward to learning more about each student’s individual educational story as we collaborate to achieve their goals.
